The Future of BPD: The Plan
So I think I’ve figured out how I’m going to proceed with BPD.
First off, Book 4 I’ve decided will conclude at the end of April instead of the end of May. It’s going to be thicker than the previous books anyway, being that I’ve been going 3-a-week since about two thirds the way into Book 3, so in the end length wise it will still be a bit longer but not freakishly...
Make that Change
Something’s gotta change.
For a long time now, I’ve not been very happy with my life or my work. It’s been extraordinarily frustrating for me because, at a glance, I am doing exactly what I always wanted to be doing. I’m writing and drawing my own comic, which has been fairly successful and continues to grow each year. I’m a self-employed artist who sets her own...

I don’t care what other dudes think, the “friend zone” is awesome.
How dare people want to be friends!!
What? You trust me and like hanging out with me? Egads,…
Friend Zone doesn’t mean you failed at a romantic relationship, because friendships can still evolve into very strong...

Why SOPA won't work: A Simple Analogy
The AFL-CIO’s Paul Almeida, arguing in favor of SOPA, stated that free speech was not a relevant consideration, because “The First Amendment does not protect stealing goods off trucks.” -from wikipedia
You’re absolutely right. However, SOPA is not the solution, as it’s responses are too broad and clumsy to be effective. It’s a “Spray and...
D&D Winter Solstice - Homecoming
This is my “Solstice Story”, a quasi-homework assignment for my D&D group to tell what my character did over the christmas break. To clarify, while my character is named “Inix” she is NOT the same Inix as in BPD. This is the D&D Inix.
“Why am I not surprised to find you here?”
Inix winced and took a deep swig of her beer; it was a dark dwarven...
Cathartic Letter I'll Never Actually Deliver
Just got a note left at our front door from our rear neighbor. Aparently, for the last 2 weeks the lights in our apartment have been “too bright” and they wanted us to possibly rearrange things so it wasn’t so bright & disturbing for their new baby. I’d like to think I’m not a total inconsiderate asshole, but being our lights are NOT that bright (the brightest...

2+ months and STILL no word on my XBL account
My XBoxLive account is still MIA. I just posted this at the official help forums. We shall see if anything comes of it…..
On August 6th, I was automatically signed off XBL on my 360 randomly. I had been watching some videos on Netflicks earlier, but hadn’t touched it in maybe a half hour. I tried to sign in with my only XBL-connected Gamer Tag, only to have it give me an error...

I keep coming across tumblr accounts that reblog things featured here only to discover that people are taking the artists source out of the post .
DO NOT DO THIS!
These artists need to be credited for their work, and they deserve all the recognition they get.

A Message To Women From a Man: You Are Not "Crazy" →
zoomusique:
this is kinda blowing my mind right now. every woman AND man should click the above and read this. and ignore the horrible comments.
“gaslighting” ftw.
10 years ago today....
I was in my only 8am class of the week. We were doing some sort of assignment that involved paint, arranging geometric shapes into black and white compositions.
We were listening to the radio; someone had gone up to change the station because there was “something about a plane crash…. and that’s depressing.” It mentioned the WTC, and someone brought up the fact that...

Toss Productivity Out
Post written by Leo Babauta; Copied from Zenhabits.net (GO THERE & SHOW HIM SOME LOVE!!!)
For at least a couple of years, Zen Habits was one of the top productivity blogs, dispensing productivity crack for a nominal fee (your reading time).
I’d like to think I helped people move closer to their dreams, but today I have different advice:
Toss productivity advice out the window.
Most of it...

As President Obama honored fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, three members of the Westboro Baptist Church protested the ceremony, holding signs that read “Pray for more dead soldiers” and “God hates your prayers,” as the controversial group has become known to do. They were met by about 70 counterprotesters, including members from a group just as contentious as the church:...

Awesome Taco/Chili type Chicken Topping
I just made this for myself for lunch, and it was AH-mazing! Instead of being one of those weirdos who just takes a photo of their food, I’m gonna share the recipe with you. All the measurements are approximate, since I was just kinda throwing things in here and there and not really measuring. If you feel like making this yourself, feel free to change/add/take out anything you want.

Tony Lee on being professional at conventions
Mr. Tony Lee, author of many Doctor Who and soon MacGyver stories, has posted some thoughts on guest behavior at cons, basically saying that if you are a paid-for guest, you should stay a guest after hours, and not just on the show floor….
Read his whole quote
I have very mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I do 100% agree that, if you are at a convention for business, you should...

.....well, Shit.
So I was sitting on my couch, checking e-mail. I had the TV on with my XBox Live account signed in because Bob had been watching Angel earlier and never turned it off. Suddenly, I noticed that it signed me out of XBox Live. I didn’t think anything of it, because that happens occasionally if the internet blinks on and off.
It wasn’t until an hour or so later when we attempted to...

Kris Straub (kris at krisstraub dot com): Help me... →

Help me understand something. There’s a Kickstarter project called Womanthology, and it’s a for-charity collection of comic stories around the theme word heroic, done entirely by women creators. That’s great.
I hate the title.
Here is my reasoning. Rather than it being a wonderful platform to showcase talent that happens to be women, the word “woman” dominates it. Maybe I’m not the...
